Vintage Blazin With The Dead

This rare 1995 Grateful Dead “Blazin With The Dead” shirt commemorates the band’s Summer West Coast Tour, specifically highlighting a run of eleven shows across Las Vegas, Seattle, and Portland between May 19 and May 29, 1995. The artwork features two of the band’s most iconic symbols: the “Steal Your Face” skull (or “Stealie”) and a jamming turtle, a motif inspired by the 1977 Terrapin Station album cover. The turtle design on the back, created for this tour by artist Michael Everett, is particularly significant as it represents the final full tour the band ever performed. This “Summer Tour ’95” is etched in rock history as the final chapter for founding member Jerry Garcia, who played his last show in Chicago just over a month after these West Coast dates before passing away in August 1995.
